It’s also worth noting that most of AMD’s GPU board partners don’t seem to be taking full advantage of the RX 6600’s reduced power consumption yet. Late last month, AMD CEO Lisa Su suggested chip supplies would likely be “tight” until the second half of 2022. “Healthy” is a very difficult word to pin down, but we’ll see. Here’s AMD’s statement to The Verge on supply this time around:ĪMD is working closely with board partners, OEMs, SIs and etail/retail partners to ensure as many graphics cards are available to gamers as possible, and we expect that a healthy supply of AMD Radeon RX 6600 graphics cards will be available at launch. Once again, it looks like Nvidia wins this round.īut as with any graphics card during the pandemic, actual retail availability at a reasonable price matters far more than comparative performance, since you generally can’t find anything close to its MSRP - and that goes double for AMD, whose availability has been notably worse. If you’ve currently got a two-year-old 2060 Super or 5700 XT ( each of which retailed for $399 at the time), this card would likely not be an upgrade for you at all. Nvidia, and extensive lists of benchmarks like the ones at Guru3D suggesting it offers closer to RTX 2060 and AMD RX 5700 levels of performance. Unfortunately, this morning’s reviews suggest that the RX 6600 doesn’t compare as favorably against Nvidia’s RTX 3060 as you’d expect, with reviewers like Tom’s Hardware concluding that it’s “generally slower,” Digital Foundry calling it a “hard sell” with worse upscaling and poor raytracing performance vs. The company also says its Nvidia DLSS competitor, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) is potent enough in games like Far Cry 6 that you can step up to 1440p plus raytracing and still average 60 FPS (assuming you’re pairing it with a Ryzen 5 5600X processor and DDR4 3600MHz RAM or better). If so, AMD says you can expect to average 91 FPS in Far Cry 6, 85 FPS in Deathloop at maximum levels of detail, and that the card averages 100 FPS across the company’s test suite, compared to 120 FPS average for the 6600 XT. In practice, AMD says you’re looking at a 10 to 15-percent performance gap between the 66 XT, but the company would rather you look at its 23-percent uplift over Nvidia’s RTX 2060 instead - assuming you’re taking advantage of Smart Access Memory aka Resizable BAR with a compatible CPU and game, anyhow. AMD says its card wins some and loses some compared to the identically priced* Nvidia RTX 3060. That’s lower than the 500 watts AMD recommends for the 6600 XT, let alone the 550-watt that even Nvidia’s entry level $329* GeForce RTX 3060 asks buyers to bring to the table. 160 watts) so you can easily fit it into a system with a 450-watt power supply. Well, the new RX 6600 is the exact same Navi 23 chip, but with four fewer compute units (28 instead of 32), slightly slower clockspeeds, and a reduced total board power consumption of just 132 watts (vs. It’s exactly the kind of bang-for-the-buck GPU that I used to buy myself, though. It was capable of playing most of the latest games at 1080p and maximum settings, but not all, not with ray-tracing, and was definitely a sizable step beneath the $400* Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti that costs just $20 more*. If you’ve read my colleague Tom Warren’s recent AMD RX 6600 XT review, you know we already considered that $379* card a solid entry-level GPU. *all of these prices are made up by AMD and Nvidia and you’ll rarely ever see them

12/9/2022 0 Comments Assassins creed pc demoThe rivers themselves are pretty small though, close to the canals of Origins. Like Black Flag, you can set your Skald (the Norse version of a poet), Bragi, to singing, or have someone tell a cool Viking tale these were prompts in the demo, though there was no actual singing, just a single jaunty tune playing. You can call your ship from any river and they'll come sailing up, ready to go. It's not the one-man boats of Origins, but it's also not the full ocean-bound ship from Odyssey. Like a lot of the things I'm going to cover about Valhalla, the longship splits the difference between Origins and Odyssey. Instead, you'll more likely get around on your horse, or ride the waterways with your Viking crew. You can climb some trees, but I wasn't able to easily work out the path to the top of the available trees. I'm also a bit perplexed that there wasn't more tree parkour, a la Assassin's Creed 3. Alexios and Kassandra would always figure it out, while Eivor occasionally gets stuck. Valhalla is most of the way there, but there were outcroppings and overhangs where Eivor would just wait for me to choose the right way forward, like the older Assassin's Creed titles. Odyssey simply let you climb anything in your way and the game would work out your path. One weird change has been a slight pullback in the ability to climb anywhere. I would've liked to see a bigger city in this demo, so my mental jury is currently still out on the verticality of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Valhalla could have that in spades in the final game, but it was not apparent in the demo. Black Flag, Origins, and Odyssey had less of that due to their time period and environments, but made sure to offer several massive cities to circle back on the familiar Assassin's Creed feel. It's the province of alleyways and rooftops. | Mike Williams/USG, UbisoftĪssassin's Creed has usually been a very urban game, as the art of parkour is a city-based pastime. I'm not saying there are no heights, but it wasn't the norm in the demo region. It's clear the "magic" part of the seidr fight is the result of a hallucinogenic drug that you breathe in, but it's not entirely leaving behind the idea of magic as a whole. There are even pockets of the region that lean into a more magical feel, like a ritual site full of wicker effigies where I had to destroy a Cursed Symbol to cleanse the region, or fight against the shamanistic seidr Regan, who wields magical flame powers and teleports. Riding your horse through a small farm as the sun begins to set evokes the same feeling. There have been comparisons of Valhalla to CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3, and while the gameplay is different, the visual comparison is strong. The rest of the region was ruins and wilderness not devoid of things to do, but less stuff to climb on. Unfortunately, the demo had a huge Animus wall preventing us from leaving East Anglia. Larger cities like London, Winchester, and Jórvík are to the North and Southwest. There were the fishing villages of Elmenham and Thetford, and the larger city of Northwic, which was closer to the smaller towns within Assassin's Creed Odyssey. My demo took place in East Anglia, a chunk of the overall game and what looks to be one of the smaller regions overall. Given the time period, I expected that Valhalla would be the same, and I was mostly correct. AC 3 took place during the Colonial era in North America, with a host of decent port cities and a whole lot of wilderness. In a previous article about Assassin's Creed Valhalla, I speculated that this entry would hew closer to Assassin's Creed 3 in landscape. | Mike Williams/USG, Ubisoft England Is Pretty Flat Is Eivor and their crew on the side of the larger Danish invasion with Rued as an outlier? How did Eivor come to get the not-so-Hidden Blade, and are they firmly with the Brotherhood at this point? Those are questions for another time, I suppose. I'm tossed into the deep end, with little narrative context. Ubisoft's demo drops me into what feels like the middle of the game: it's 873 CE and Eivor is bringing together the Danes and Saxons to fight against Rued, a bloodthirsty Viking warrior who has killed Oswald, a Saxon regent that wants both peoples to co-exist. In Valhalla, players will step into the fur boots of Eivor, a warrior who finds themselves turned to the Assassin cause.Īfter two cinematic trailers and a host of interviews, I'm finally getting a chance to see how Assassin's Creed Valhalla plays. With Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the series is heading to medieval England to highlight the conflict between the Danes (the Vikings) and Saxons during the first Viking invasion of England. Two games in, Assassin's Creed has settled into a new rhythm, becoming an action-adventure game that leans heavily on role-playing game ideas. 12/9/2022 0 Comments Ufc 2 controlsNascimento rolls for the arm at the bell. Ulanbekov’s arm extended, but it’s straight. Nascimento stays on the arm, and he’s getting some leverage now. Ulanbekov keeps the arm tucked as he works from his knees. Wow, thank you so much for your replies, both of you. It’s pretty cool and it’s a great way to learn about how everything works in our cars but it is a very deep rabbit hole so just be prepared to be completely overwhelmed when getting started! If you are able, you can download stock ECU files and compare different things. However, you can always download the Nefmoto software and try to pull the tuned file from your ECU. I can’t say enough good things about their customer service! They will develop your tune for your car and improve it a few times based on logs you submit to them. In the end, for what I was looking to obtain (Stage 3 with E85 and 93 files) I decided that the programming variables were simply too much for me to tackle myself and I ended up going with a custom tune from Motoza Perfromance. It’s very easy to brick an ECU if done incorrectly so if it’s something you want to get into I would invest in a backup ECU to play around with. but like I said, be ready to invest a whole lot of hours reading through everything on Nefmoto before writing anything to your ECU. If I were just trying to modify a few things or tune an ECU for stage 2+ I think it’s probably worth it and I would’ve felt comfortable changing a few things based on the information available on that site. I invested a WHOLE lot of time trying to understand the ins and outs of it all. I considered doing something similar and develop my own swappable tune. I was NOT able to do this with ECUs tuned by other companies! that being said, I can tell you that my chipped MTM ECU was not security protected at all and I was able to pull the tuned files from it and read them. The question is how much time do you want to invest in it? How comfortable are you with changing parameters in the coding? How much is your time worth lol? Modifying things using Nefmoto and Tunerpro is a whole different beast than changing things in Vag-com!ĭo you know if your MTM was a chip tune? I have an MTM tuned ECU and I know that’s how they were done in the beginning but I don’t know if they ever flash tuned them. Is it possible, for an amateur to do this? Anybody else done something like this themselfes? As the new downpipes are 100cpi downpipes, and would likely(?) throw a code. So basically, I want to keep my MTM software, but code out the SAI pump, and maybe the secondary O2 sensors as well. I also found out that it is possible to use a program called TunerPro, to make changes to the software. I did a little bit of googling, and found that it possible to pull out the software with a program NefMoto. I'm told it is a MTM tune, but I'm not certain. Can it be done without going to a tuner? Because I like the software as it is now. But have never done something like this before. Is it possible to pull the software from the ECU, remove the SAI pump check in the software, then write it back to the ECU myself? I have a Ross-Tech VagCom cable. I am thinking of removing the SAI pump, to give myself some more workspace. I did the exact same job on my previous RS4, but it seems like there is much less space this time. But one of the downpipes had a nasty hole in the flexi bend part, which made the car sound so damn awful.īut I can't remember it being so difficult. The car is already fitted with a Milltek catback exhaust. As we speak I'm dealing with a downpipe upgrade to a Wagner downpipe kit. Haven't been active for quite some time now. 12/8/2022 0 Comments Toy story 1In fourth place is Shrek, released in 2001, followed by 1971 classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in fifth place. The modeling approach supposedly produces the exact behavior in the entire system in a non-linear and dynamic way. Furthermore, the interactions and influence that each component has within the system of circuits and all of the variables that affect it are modeled as well. For Fender Collection 2 they took a step further in modeling by developing a new type of technology called Dynamic Interaction Modeling which digitally recreates the behavior of every single component in the circuit of the modeled amp. They’ve been modeling guitar and bas amplifiers, cabinets, effects pedals and much more for over twenty years. IK Multimedia was one of the pioneers of guitar amp modelling. With just a bit of routine care and maintenance, your robot vacuum can easily operate for several years. This will depend on how the robot is used and how well it is taken care of. How often will I need to replace my robotic vacuum cleaner Some great options with this feature include the iRobot Roomba s9+, the Roomba i7+, and the Shark IQ Robot XL. Not only are there multiple models that empty their dustbins on their own when docked, but there are several we’ve reviewed in this guide alone. When robot vacuums first hit the market this was a feature that consumers could only dream of, but today it’s an actual reality. More premium options feature virtual boundaries you can establish in an app that your robot will respect as it cleans and navigates. Most commonly, companies utilize magnetic strips known as boundary blockers that you can apply to the floor for your robot to avoid. While you could physically block them with some kind of barrier, manufacturers offer a better way to section off areas from your robot.
